seems like the manifolds helped the flow later and did not affect spoolup as much as on Seb's 535 car. Ash pointed out that where SpecialtyZ manifold meets the PE1420 the turbo flange is quite a bit narrower than the manifold outlet causing the manifold to flow much less than it would if the restriction was not there. You will have to forgive my non-technical terminology on this, but its definately worth looking at when chossing manifold\turbo combinations.
